First let me say....WOW!!!! If you have ever wondered about what goes into long range shooting Bryan Litz has got it covered for you. His new book Accuracy and Precision for Long Range Shooting is a great resource. Mr. Litz breaks many of the variables of long range shooting down and explains just how much they can affect your shooting. For instance looking at muzzle velocity, he might lay out how much at 15fps difference would change hit percentages at various ranges on different sized targets. Some of the conclusions are pretty amazing and might change the way you look at things. In some ways I'd call this one a less detailed version of his other book Applied Ballistics for Long-Range Shooting. The book covers everything from environmental variables, muzzle velocity, ballistic coefficients, spin drift, sight cant, and how to calibrate ballistic solutions. If you already shoot long range or just want to learn a little more about the topic this book would be a great resource. Having experienced many of this books topics in the field I can safely say it would have saved me a few rounds downrange. It should be part of every shooters library.
